You are so welcome, Allison! And you are so right! The element of play makes the days so much brighter and the soul so much lighter. Hoping you have a joyful playtime this summer❣️
Karen! I got chills, this is exactly where I am at too and I absolutely love the idea of the Crone as one that hasn't lost youth, but who has stopped abandoning herself. And that includes play and youth. Thank you so much for this!
So happy it meant something to you! Don’t you just love reclaiming those words that had negative connotations? I hope we can stop giving crones such a bad rap and start celebrating this delicious time of life❣️
It’s such fascinating timing because I spent part of my weekend little the little kid in me lead and got so much joy from it. I saw something that said middle-age is just reconnecting to 16-year-old you and loving her this time. like that.
I agree. So much tells us to listen to our ten-year-old self, but what about the teenager that may have made some wrong moves? Out searching for my 20-30-year-old self at present. I’d just like to ring the ol’ dinner bell and wrangle them all together at one time. Until then, having fun with the journey. Sounds like you are too❣️
Wouldn’t it be an incredible thing to have these different versions of ourselves at a dinner table?! That sparks a bit of an idea for me. Thank you, Karen!
Play keeps the soul young, regardless of the age. Thanks for sharing this.
